See how your page looks on Google.

Type a title and a description and see them the way Google shows them, on a phone and on a computer. We measure the width in pixels, the same way Google cuts long titles.

Google shows the words people searched for in bold.

Questions

How long should a page title be for Google?

Aim for 50 to 60 characters. Google cuts titles by width, about 600 pixels on desktop, so wide letters like W and M use up space faster. Put the most important words first.

How long should a meta description be?

Around 120 to 160 characters. On mobile Google often shows less, so make the first 120 characters count: what you offer, where, and why someone should click.

Why does Google show a different title or description?

Google rewrites them when it thinks other text on the page matches the search better. Clear, accurate titles and descriptions that match the page are rewritten less often.

Does this work for Arabic titles?

Yes. Arabic text is shown right to left and measured the same way. If your site has both languages, write a separate title and description for each one.
